Royal Philips of the Netherlands is a diversified "Health and Well-being" company, and it focuses on improving people's lives through timely and meaningful innovations. As a world leader in healthcare, lifestyle and lighting, Philips integrates technologies and design into people-centric solutions, based on fundamental insights into customer demands.
At the beginning of the project, the Marketing Department of Philips has put forward an overall planning on style of the exhibition stand and products exhibited. There are many categories of products, covering floor lamp, TV, shaver, mini projector and so on, involving many product departments. Therefore, how to connect these products with a story is a challenge for our design team. After careful study on products, our design team decides to start with product application and use different styles of chairs at different product exhibition areas, so as to differentiate their purposes. So, in the design, we have different styles of chairs like old-fashioned chair, office swivel chair and bar chair which perfectly link different products together.
